The best thing that came from our last WIP Challenge was the sense of community that was created in the gym. We have always said we have the best clients and seeing everyone come together and motivate each other reach their goals proved that! So we are challenging you all again. It may be a bit selfish on our part, we admit. Mary Kate and I have gained a few pounds this summer and we want you to join us (and inspire us) to get back on track.
I'm going on record to say this has been my favorite summer. Spending time on the Cape with my family (bonfires & s'mores on the beach), a Block Island getaway with best friends (with the best lobster mac&cheese), a concert on a Vineyard with one of my favorite surfers (with yummy wine & fried chicken) and the best weather I can remember. As I enjoy my last few days in Wellfleet, I'm not surprised that my bathing suit is not fitting quite as well as it did back in June!I try to live by the motto "work hard, play hard". I want to enjoy the lobster mac&cheese and wine, knowing that I've worked hard in the gym to enjoy the food & drink that I love. The problem with summer time is that the balance hasn't been there for me. Oh I've done my fair share of "playing hard", now it's time I make up for the lack of "work". As we gear up for the hustle and bustle that back to school brings, I am ready to get back on track, back on routine and back to work!!!The Fall Re-Boot challenge for me is all about recommitting to a workout schedule, pushing myself in class and eating less. 5lbs in 2 weeks is an aggressive goal, but that's why it's called a challenge! I commit to 5 boot camp classes plus one Power Yoga class a week, for the 2 week challenge. I also commit to keeping a food journal everyday and watching my portions, my biggest obstacle to keeping the scale down.So join us! Recommit and set a goal for yourself. Schedule your workouts to make it part of your routine. Plan your menu for the week and keep track to stay accountable. Inspire and be inspired by the WIP community.
